The Yesterday’s Softball team had an up and down week this week, falling 20-12 to Pat Flanagan’s during a rain soaked affair at Lebreque field on Wed., June 3, but came back with a blistering 21-0 shutout of a rookie team on Thurs., June 4.
The offense couldn’t get it going on Wednesday, and the Flanagan’s squad put up 11 runs in the 3rd inning to push them to victory.
Thursday’s game was a complete one-sided affair, as the Yesterday’s squad rolled to a 21-0, five-inning slaughter rule lambasting of a rookie team. Pitching, defense, offense – it was all there on Thursday for Yesterday’s.
(If I had the book handy, I’d mention who did what, but I don’t.)
On tap are two games this week, Monday and Friday. Overall record for the league’s most improved team to date is 5 wins and 3 losses.
